क्षणभंगुर

ती सुंदर, ती सालस,
ती कमनीय, ती लोभस,
ती चंचल, ती निरागस,
ती अप्सरा, ती स्वप्नसुंदरी, ती प्रिया !

तिचे सौंदर्य त्याला साठवून ठेवायचे होते .. युगानुयुगे !!

कलेला वाव मिळाला,
पाषाणाला आकार मिळाला,
रंग, रूप, बांधा, अलंकार,
त्याच्या हृदयातील भावना .. झाली साकार !!

युगानुयुगांचे ठाऊक नाही,
पण अश्याच एका काळरात्री यवनांचा थवा आला,
आणि चिरंतन, अजरामर अशी छबी ठरली .... क्षणभंगुर !!

The Divine

they say music is eternal;

they say music speaks of passion,
of love and of desire;

they say music has the charm,
the power and the effect;

they say music can make us laugh,
and cry and rejoice;

then, one night,
I realized the ancient Hindu preaching,
that the divine can be both formless and can have a form,
to some it can be the sweet melody of music,
and to others the glittering charm of crystals;

And when the crystals hug a musical rhyme,
every kind of soul will stare losing sense of time.

Elements of Nature

When the Earth rises above its grounds,
When the waters sprinkle all around,
When skies no longer stay within horizon's bounds,
When the wind sings loud and birds surround,
these elements of nature create a magic,
a magic which creates fire,
and blesses us with presence of all five,
the five elements of mother nature.

Immortals

I see something that stands tall for thousands of years,
I see something that stands weathered in rains and thunders of time,
I see something holding ground forever,
I accept, it has to be cosmic.

And then, I begin to pray to it,
I wish I could be like it,
And for matters dear to my heart,
I lock my faith in it.

Today as I stand here,
and see this wall aged more than two thousand years,
I realize the immense affinity of humans towards the immortals.

Immortals - legends or gods or just the walls,
Immortals - sun and moon or just the stars,
Immortals - that make us happy or leave us scars,
We like them, we pray them,
and we make them the guardians of our fate !!
